2023 US Open QFs: Alcaraz eases past Zverev, sets up Medvedev clash

World number one Carlos Alcaraz booked his place in the semifinals of the 2023 US Open following a straight sets win over Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The 20-year-old Spaniard defeated the 12th seed 6-3 6-2 6-4 to continue his incredible run in the US Open as he looks to retain the title in Flushing Meadows.
Third seed Daniil Medvedev defeated compatriot Andrey Rublev in straight sets to qualify for the semifinals of the 2023 US Open. The Russian claimed a 6-4 6-3 6-4 win over his eighth seed opponent to win the last eight meeting. He will face Alcaraz for a place in the final.
17th seed Madison Keys picked up her ticket for the semifinals following a straight sets win over ninth seed Marketa Vondrousova in Flushing Meadows. The American won the meeting 6-1 6-4 to emerge as the winner of the quarterfinal clash.
Second seed Aryna Sabalenka defeated 23rd seed Zheng Qinwen 6-1 6-4 to qualify for the semifinals of the 2023 US Open. The Belarusian will face Keys for a place in the final.
