The 2024 Africa Academy Stars Tournament has delivered not only thrilling football action but also life-changing opportunities for young talents, as Island Stars Academy, on Wednesday, 18th September 2024, fulfilled its promise by awarding scholarships to the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) in the U-12 and U-14 categories.

Scholarships for Future Stars

Ephraim Edet (U-12) and Idongesit Offiong (U-14) emerged as MVPs of their respective categories and have had their school fees fully paid for the new academic session, courtesy of Island Stars Academy. These rising football stars have shown incredible promise on the field, and this support will allow them to continue both their education and football development.

The scholarship award adds further shine to the cash prizes for winners in the boys’ U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16, and girls’ categories, as well as individual awards, certificates, and accessories given to all participating players and coaches— all of which were delivered during the grand finale in Uyo.

The 2024 Africa Academy Stars Tournament, held at the prestigious Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, featured over 700 young footballers competing across five categories.
