2024 Copa America: Argentina drawn against Chile, Brazil to face Colombia
Reigning Copa America and world champions Argentina have been pitted against some old foes after the draw for the 2024 Copa America was concluded in Miami.
The 2024 edition of the tournament will take place in the USA and will involve teams from both the CONMEBOL and CONCACAF regions.
Argentina, who won the last edition of the tournament in Brazil in 2021, will face long-time foes Chile, who defeated them in successive finals in 2015 and 2016, in Group A of the tournament. They will be joined by Peru and one of Trinidad and Tobago or Canada.
In Group B, Ecuador will take on Venezuela, as well as CONCACAF duo of Mexico and Jamaica. Group C has hosts USA facing Uruguay, Bolivia and Panama.
CONMEBOL giants Brazil will face Paraguay, Colombia, and one of Honduras or Costa Rica in Group D.
The tournament will kick-off on June 20th with Argentina taking on Canada or Trinidad and Tobago. The final will take place on July 14th at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
