2024 NBBF Women’s Basketball League Champions crowned

MFM Women Basketball Team has won the Zenith Bank/NBBF Women’s Basketball League title for the second year in a row. The defending champions beat Nigeria Customs 64-53 in the final held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere.

MFM showed their dominance throughout the match, leading in all quarters. By halftime, they were comfortably ahead with a score of 36-17 and, at one point, had a 19-point lead. The team’s solid defence kept Customs from closing the gap despite their best efforts.

First Bank, the nine-time league winners, secured third place after a narrow 46-45 victory over Royal Aces in a thrilling match.

For their victory, MFM received a cash prize of N1.75 million, while Nigeria Customs and First Bank earned N750,000 and N500,000, respectively.

Representing Zenith Bank, Mrs. Olatilewa Akinwolere congratulated all the participating teams and promised that the bank would continue supporting efforts to raise Nigeria’s profile on the global stage.
