2024 NLO Cup: Ibom Youth FC, Police Baretta, and Family Worship Center FC win on opening day

The 2024 NLO Cup kicked off on Monday, December 16, 2024, with an exciting start at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja. Four matches were played, with Ibom Youth FC, Police Baretta FC, and Family Worship Center FC all claiming victories in their opening games.

Family Worship Center FC Wins 3-0
The first match of the day saw Family Worship Center FC dominate De Sapele Lions, securing a comfortable 3-0 win.

Police Baretta FC Defeats Like Minds FC
In the second match, Police Baretta FC defeated Like Minds FC 2-0 to start their campaign on a high note.

Ojodu City and Kogi United Draw
The afternoon match between Ojodu City and Kogi United ended in a 0-0 draw, with both teams unable to find the back of the net.

Ibom Youth FC Triumphs 2-1
In the final match of the day, Ibom Youth FC secured a 2-1 victory over FC Ebedei. Goals from Aniefon Mfon and Chidi Precious helped the team, coached by Universe Asuquo, earn the win.

Looking Ahead
The NLO Cup action continues on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with another four matches. The tournament, which features a grand prize of a 30-million-naira bus, will run until December 21, 2024.
