Gent’s Simon Moses a major doubt for Zambia
Gent’s Simon Moses is a major doubt for Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier match against Zambia in Ndola next month having suffered a hamstring injury in his clubs Europa League clash with SC Braga yesterday reports sportsration.
The 21-year-old was replaced in the 40th minute by Kalifa Coulibaly after he sustained the injury in a tackle from Braga’s Lazar Rosic.
Simon is expected to undergo some scans to determine the extent of his injury.
Danijel Milicevic got Gent on the way after six minutes, but they were pegged back by Andre Pinto goal in the 24th minute.
Simon has scored twice this season in the Belgian Pro Division and has made seven appearances in the Europa League competition scoring thrice.
He is expected to make the list of the players to be invited for the qualifiers but with a likely hamstring injury he might not be called.
