23-year-old Nigerian center Jason Jitoboh signs with Vellaznimi Gjakove
Vellaznimi Gjakove, a team in the Superliga, has secured 23-year-old Nigerian center Jason Jitoboh for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Standing 211 cm tall and weighing 129 kg, Jitoboh is the second foreign player to join the roster, following the earlier signing of Arian Azemi from the USA.
Jitoboh recently graduated from Tennessee State University, where he had a solid college career. In his senior season, he averaged 9.5 points per game (ppg), 5.1 rebounds per game (rpg), 1.0 assists per game (apg), and 2.6 blocks per game (bpg) over 25 games.
Before college, Jitoboh was a standout player at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, TN, where he gained recognition as one of the top players of his class in 2019.
This season will mark Jitoboh’s first full professional season. His addition to Vellaznimi Gjakove brings a promising talent to the team, known for his defensive presence and potential impact on the court.
