3 Teams That Look Best To Contend For The NBA Title This Season

The 2021 NBA season is well underway and it’s already giving pro hoops fans plenty to talk about.

One very true thing, especially for NBA betting picks fanatics is that already there are teams that are starting to cement their status as clear favorites for a strong title contention run this season.

While at first there were squads that surprised many people around, yes, I’m mostly talking about how the Knicks started the season as one of the hottest teams around, it didn’t take that long for the real favorites to stand up and begin to take their spots atop their respective conferences.

So, with that said, we bring you our picks for the three teams this season that look best to contend for the NBA title.

Golden State Warriors

Remember when the Golden State Warriors used to run the Western Conference, and basically all of the NBA to their pleasure? And how about when they tragically fell from their spot atop the Olympus of pro basketball, all because of injury problems, the Covid-19 pandemic, and other unwanted issues? Well, if you’re a Warriors fan you’re probably loving how good this team is once again this season. It seems as all this team needed was for the idea of Klay Thompson finally returning to get everything rolling once again.

Steph Curry is back to his MVP style of playing, while Draymond Green once again is the leader of a Warriors defense that has become one of the main keys to the team’s success.

But while Curry and Green usually take up all of the spotlights, this team wouldn’t be where it is at right now if it wasn’t for the supporting cast that the two stars have playing with them.

Guys like Jordan Poole, Damion Lee, Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr, and Nemanja Bjelica have all stepped up immensely for the Warriors to relieve the main stars of carrying with all of the heavy lifting around their conference and the league.

As of right now, one could easily argue that the Warriors are one of the best if not the best team in the league, now imagine how much better they’ll be once Klay Thompson is finally cleared to come back. Once players like Thompson and James Wiseman are back, alongside this roster that’s already putting in great work, a run for the title is not that hard to picture.

Phoenix Suns

Has anybody noticed how ridiculously good the Phoenix Suns are playing right now? While at first, it seemed like they were having a few issues getting their act together, especially after the run they had last season, making it to the finals in a losing effort against the Bucks, Phoenix found the mojo they were missing and have mounted the most impressive winning streak in the NBA this season. Between what veteran point guard, and future hall of famer Chris Paul brings to the court, and the explosive young core of players surrounding him, the Suns are getting better and better each game that passes, which automatically means that the threat of having to play them is also becoming bigger and bigger for every team around the league.

It doesn’t take much to see that this team has all the potential in the world to win as many games as they wish this season, even amounting to being the No.1 seed in the Western Conference once the playoffs arrive, but it’s what they can do in the postseason which will matter the most. What’s definitely true is that this team is better than what they were last season, so if they can keep up their rhythm and pace, they could easily not only make it back to the finals again this year but even hold a true chance at winning it all.

Milwaukee Bucks

When it comes to the Eastern Conference, we could start by mentioning other teams that have been on very good streaks this season, such as the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls, but no, let’s go with the reigning NBA champions, Milwaukee Bucks. Call it a champions prerogative if you wish, or just call it for what it is, one of the most talented and compact rosters in the NBA. Starting with how game-changing a player like Giannis Antetokounmpo is, both on offense and defense, and add to that what guys like Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, George Hill, Bobby Portis, and Grayson Allen offer and you have a team that has all the tools to make a strong case for repeating in their title ways once again this year.

Many fans at first were a bit skeptical, given how Milwaukee’s season started, but from the looks of it right now, the Bucks are well on their way to being their usual dominant selves once again, which only spells trouble for any opposing team. Now, if there’s one thing that the Bucks need to focus on, especially when thinking about the playoffs, is being able to find a way to finish the season off in either the first or second spot of the conference playoff rankings, which would allow them to potentially face the Nets only in a Conference Finals series and not before. But again, call it champions prerogative or championship pedigree, whatever you want to call it, the Bucks have it to succeed once again this season.
