Roy Keane delighted ‘lazy’ and ‘cheat’ Troost-Ekong got punished

Manchester United and Ireland legend, Roy Keane is very happy that ‘lazy and a ‘cheat’ William Troost-Ekong got punished for his role in the build up to Croatia second goal in Nigeria 2-0 loss to Croatia.

Roy Keane who is popular for his fearless criticism of whoever just as he was fearless on the pitch during his active days revealed his happiness at the punishment given to Nigeria because of William Troost-Ekong.

Croatia got their second goal after William Troost-Ekong for no particular reason dragged down Mario Mandzukic in the box, and captain Luka Modric stepped up and made it two in the 71st minutes of the clash.

“Croatia have to up their game against a stronger side like Argentina, said Roy Keane to ITV Sport.

“I’m glad Troost-Ekong got punished. Cheating, lazy defending.”

The former Sunderland manager also revealed that the Super Eagles were not tactically disciplined or organised as they played without any real plan or purpose.

“All over the place, No game plan, no belief, no tackles, playing like it’s a friendly.”
