We win and lose together says Victor Moses after Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Croatia
Super Eagles attacker Victor ‘fallen’ Moses has expressed his disappointment at Nigeria’s result in their Russia 2018 opener against Croatia.
An own goal from Oghenekaro Etebo in the first half and a second half penalty from Luca Modric helped Croatia to an easy win against dull and tasteless Eagles on Saturday.
The Eagles showed no class, hunger and desire and Victor Moses who himself came under heavy criticism for his role in the loss has taken to his social media to express his feelings.
“Disappointed with the result last night but we win together and lose together and will dust ourselves down and be ready to fight again,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
Victor Moses who is supposed to be one of Eagles’ talismans was not useful to the team on Saturday as the Chelsea defender wasted all of Nigeria’s chances from set plays and fell more than he had any impact in the game.
With a clash against Iceland and Argentina still in the offing for Nigeria, Victor ‘fallen’ Moses has promised to put things in place and get Nigeria out of the group of death.
“We are working hard to put things right #SuperEagles, he concluded.
Up next for Nigeria is a clash against Iceland at Volgograd Arena on Friday by 4 pm. While Super Eagles were embarrassed in their first game against Croatia, Iceland played a 1-1 draw against Argentina.
