Boost for Nigerian athletes as Sports Minister pledges commitment to successful CAA Championships outing

Nigerian athletes have received a significant boost as Sports Minister, Senator John Enoh has pledged full commitment to a successful CAA Championships outing in Douala, Cameroon.

 

Sports Minister John Owan Enoh announced that the ministry will lead Team Nigeria’s athletes to the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Seniors Championship in Douala, Cameroon, which starts on June 21st.

Enoh made this announcement in Benin City while addressing athletes and officials of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Monday night. He assured the athletes that, as the Sports Minister, he is committed to leading from the front and ensuring their progress.

Senator Enoh praised the athletes and AFN officials for their excellent performance at the Africa Games and CAA Zone II Championships in Accra, Ghana, where they placed first overall. He pledged to make their journey to Douala smooth and stress-free.

“I am going to lead you to Cameroon. You have done well, and the AFN board has also done well. I want to be part of your progress in Cameroon,” said Enoh. “I will address you again, where you can ask questions about your concerns.”
