Botev Plovdiv signs Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah
Bulgarian League club Botev Plovdiv have announced the signing of former Nigeria Super Eagles attacker Anthony Ujah. SportsRation reports.
The signing comes shortly after Ujah’s departure from German club Eintracht Braunschweig on Wednesday afternoon.
Arthur Piatek, the club director, highlighted Ujah’s experience and potential impact as key reasons for the signing.
“We are confident that Anthony will help us with his goals and perform at a top level,” Piatek said. “His experience will be invaluable to us both on and off the field.”
In addition to his on-field contributions, Ujah is expected to play a mentoring role at Botev Plovdiv. Piatek emphasized that Ujah, alongside Inevin Popov, will guide the younger players and share his extensive knowledge. “Together with Inevin Popov, he will help the young players and give them a better understanding of competing in one of the best championships in Europe,” Piatek added.
Anthony Ujah brings a wealth of experience from various European leagues, which Botev Plovdiv hopes will bolster their squad and provide a valuable learning opportunity for their younger players.
The club and its supporters are eagerly anticipating Ujah’s contributions as they aim to improve their standings in the Bulgarian League.
