Nigerian Rugby team arrives in Mauritius for 2024 African Cup 7s championship
The 2024 African Cup 7s championship kicks off this Saturday, and the Nigerian Rugby team has arrived in Mauritius, the venue of the event.
According to the Nigerian Rugby Football Federation, the team, comprising both foreign and home-based players, is ready to make the country proud.
Championship Details
The tournament will be held in two rounds at the Labourdonnais Sports Club in Mapou. Twelve countries, including Nigeria, will compete across both rounds, with the overall winner determined by the points collected.
Nigeria has been placed in Group A, where they will face Kenya, Madagascar, and host nation Mauritius.
Competition Schedule
The competition will take place over two weekends: June 29-30 and July 6-7, 2024.
