2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Nigeria to face Benin Republic, Rwanda, Libya in group B

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will compete in Group B of the AFCON 2025 Qualifiers. Their opponents are Gernot Rohr’s Benin Republic, Libya, and Rwanda.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification draws took place on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in the SuperSport studio in Johannesburg, South Africa.

As revealed in the draw, 2023 AFCON silver-medalists Nigeria will lock horns against familiar foes for a place in Morocco 2025.

Already, Nigeria have Benin Republic and Rwanda in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification group, with Benin boosting of the bragging rights following a 2-1 win in June.

Nigeria will also face Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Their next match in this series is in March 2025. The group also includes the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.

For the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, the six qualifying matches will be held in September, October, and November, with two matches in each seven-day window.
