Sports Scientist debunks Injury concerns for Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho
Dr. Rajpal Brar, a renowned sports scientist and physiotherapy expert, has dismissed concerns over the injury record of Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho.
Currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City, Iheanacho has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Dr. Brar, speaking to Villa News, assured that Iheanacho’s injury history should not deter Aston Villa or any other interested club from signing him.
“He’s not had any injuries that would be red flags for any club looking to sign him, but he has not played too many minutes,” Dr. Brar explained. “The lack of game time can certainly be a worry so the key is he needs to be brought in gradually.”
Although Iheanacho is moving from the Championship back to the Premier League, Dr. Brar emphasised his previous experience in the top flight. “He’s played there before, so he will understand the demands of the Premier League.”
Iheanacho’s Premier League record is notable, with 196 appearances, 42 goals, and 25 assists. His proven track record and injury clearance could make him a valuable addition to any Premier League squad.
