Antonio Conte reacts to Victor Osimhen’s potential PSG move
Napoli manager Antonio Conte has reacted to the potential transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). SportsRation reports.
This transfer has been a major focus of the summer transfer window, with Osimhen poised for a €120 million move.
Victor Osimhen’s departure from Napoli has been a hot topic, as his agent continues talks with PSG. Despite the ongoing negotiations, no major updates have emerged regarding the sale. However, Napoli is eager for the deal to be finalized, as the funds will enable them to pursue their own transfer targets.
Conte has revealed that Victor Osimhen’s move is crucial for Napoli’s summer plans. He remains confident that the transfer will be completed soon, allowing the club to proceed with their objectives in the transfer market.

Speaking about the potential transfer, Conte stated, “The situation was already very clear.” He emphasised that the move is part of Napoli’s strategic plan for the summer. “I was aware of it. It’s all going as planned. To me, it’s not a surprise to wait.”
Conte explained the club’s approach, saying, “We face every situation in the right way. As I said, first, we re-aligned, now we evaluate, and then there will be sales and new signings. The vision is very clear. There will be no problems.”
If Osimhen’s sale proceeds as planned, Napoli have already identified Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement for the Nigeria Super Eagles star.
