Maduka Okoye reacts to Victor Osimhen’s potential move to PSG

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has weighed in on the potential departure of his national teammate, Victor Osimhen, from Napoli this summer.

According to reports, Nigerian striker Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli, with a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the works.

PSG is keen to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid last season, and Osimhen has reportedly set his sights on PSG as his preferred destination.

Okoye, who shares a close relationship with Osimhen, expressed his support for whatever decision the striker makes. “Yes, we know each other very well, we talk every now and then. I spoke to him two weeks ago,” Okoye told Tuttomercatoweb. When asked about the potential move to PSG, Okoye laughed and said, “PSG? I can’t talk about it. I clearly wish him the best, he will choose and find his way.”

Okoye’s comments highlight the trust and camaraderie within the Nigerian national team, as well as his confidence in Osimhen’s ability to make the best decision for his career.

After the negotiations between Osimhen, Napoli, and PSG hit a snag, there is still a possibility that the prolific striker will remain at Napoli next season under the management of newly appointed coach Antonio Conte.
