‘Scary but nice’ – Super Eagles star Bright Osayi-Samuel speaks on José Mourinho at Fenerbahçe
Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has shared his positive experiences under the guidance of new Fenerbahçe coach José Mourinho.
Osayi-Samuel, who has been a key player for Fenerbahçe since his move from QPR in the winter of 2021, expressed his enthusiasm for working with the renowned Portuguese manager.
In a recent interview, Osayi-Samuel described Mourinho as “scary but also very nice,” highlighting the honor he feels to be coached by such a high-profile figure.
He said: “Mourinho is scary but also very nice. It is a great honour to work with him,” Osayi-Samuel said. He also praised Mourinho for instilling self-confidence in his players, adding, “I think I will learn a lot while working with him this year.”
Fenerbahçe, having parted ways with former manager Ismail Kartal, signed Mourinho earlier this summer. The expectations are high for Mourinho to make a significant impact at the Turkish club, and Osayi-Samuel is optimistic about the learning opportunities under his new coach.
