Rumours are circulating that Juventus are interested in signing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, only months after he joined the club.
The Dutch striker, who arrived at Old Trafford from Bologna in a €42.5 million deal during the summer, has had a difficult start. Despite scoring on his debut against Fulham, Zirkzee has failed to find the back of the net in his next seven appearances, sparking concerns over whether he is suited for English football. This has reportedly caught the attention of Juventus, who were previously interested in signing him.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus may be considering a swap deal involving their Serbian striker, Dusan Vlahovic, as part of a move for Zirkzee. While Vlahovic has been a consistent performer for Juventus, contract negotiations with the player have stalled, and his current deal runs until 2026. Arsenal is also reportedly monitoring Vlahovic’s situation.

A potential swap deal between the two clubs could be a way to address their respective needs, but the significant wage difference between Vlahovic and Zirkzee could complicate any negotiations. Vlahovic earns nearly double what Zirkzee is currently paid, making this a potential stumbling block.
Despite his recent struggles, Manchester United may hesitate to let go of Zirkzee so soon after investing heavily in him. However, if his form doesn’t improve, Juventus’ interest could grow, especially if the idea of a swap deal becomes more feasible.
Zirkzee could still have a chance to impress, as he is expected to feature in Manchester United’s upcoming Europa League match against Porto.
