Super Eagles to have closed door training session ahead of Libya clash today

Super Eagles Interim coach Augustine Eguavoen now has a full squad at his disposal as preparations intensify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double-header against Libya.

The trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidera Ejuke, and Bright Osayi-Samuel arrived at the team’s camp in Uyo on Wednesday, completing the roster of invited players.

Twenty players had already reported to the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel camp on Tuesday, and the latest arrivals are set to join their teammates for a training session scheduled for Wednesday night.

In preparation for the crucial qualifiers, the Super Eagles have opted for a closed-door session. The team will train at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, with the media and public excluded from observing the proceedings.

Eguavoen and his squad are aiming to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the double-header against Libya as they look to secure qualification for the 2025 AFCON tournament.
