Galatasaray confident in ability to sign Victor Osimhen permanently
Galatasaray’s Deputy President, Abdallah Kavukcu, has expressed confidence in the club’s financial capability to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen or any other top player they target.
Osimhen, 25, joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli after being excluded from the Italian club’s plans. Since his move, the Nigerian striker has flourished, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in just nine games for the reigning Turkish champions.
His impressive performances have sparked discussions about Galatasaray pursuing a permanent deal.
While the club reportedly considers a €50 million offer to Napoli, such a move could strain Galatasaray’s finances, given the additional cost of Osimhen’s salary.
However, Kavukcu dismissed concerns, asserting the club’s financial strength during an interview on Thursday.
“If Galatasaray wants a player, we will be at that table,” Kavukcu said, according to Forza Cimbom. “Galatasaray has the power to make the right transfers as determined by our coach. We have the resources to sign more players like Osimhen.”
Despite Galatasaray’s interest, Osimhen is reportedly focused on securing a move to one of Europe’s top five leagues. For now, the Turkish side will aim to continue benefiting from the Nigerian forward’s brilliance as they seek to defend their domestic title.
