Barcelona end Brest’s unbeaten run with 3-0 Champions League win

Barcelona delivered a commanding performance to beat Stade Brestois 3-0, ending the French side’s unbeaten run in the Champions League and moving up to second in the group standings.

After two disappointing results—a loss to Real Sociedad and a draw with Celta Vigo—Barcelona returned to form with an impressive display of high pressing and clinical finishing.

Robert Lewandowski wasted no time making history, scoring his 100th Champions League goal in the 9th minute from the penalty spot after being fouled by Brest goalkeeper Marco Bizot. This milestone places him among greats like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Barcelona controlled the game, with Fermin Lopez coming close to doubling their lead but being denied by Bizot. The breakthrough came in the 65th minute when Dani Olmo calmly slotted home to extend the advantage.

Brest tried to fight back, but Mathias Pereira Lage’s goal was ruled out for offside. In stoppage time, Lewandowski sealed the win with his second goal, showcasing his poise and precision.

This dominant victory reaffirmed Barcelona’s strength in the competition as they climbed to second place, looking strong for the knockout round
