Who are Nigeria’s Flamingos group stage opponents at the WAFU B U-17 Championship?
The Flamingos of Nigeria have been drawn in Group B of the 2024 WAFU B Women’s U-17 Championship, where they will face Niger Republic and Ivory Coast.
The tournament, organised by the West African Football Union B (WAFU B), will take place in Accra, Ghana, from December 12 to December 26, 2024. Seven teams will participate: Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Ivory Coast, and hosts Ghana.
In Group A, Ghana will compete against Burkina Faso and Benin.
The Flamingos, coached by Bankole Olowookere, are aiming to build on their recent success, having reached the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
The competition promises to showcase the best of young women’s football in the West African region as teams battle for glory in Ghana.
