Guardiola Shocked by Liverpool Fans’ Chant at Anfield

Explains His Hand Gesture

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has explained the reason behind his hands gesture at Anfield during his side’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool.

The Spanish who has won 6 out of the last 7 Premier League titles raised hands and shush the fans at Anfield who were singing you are getting sacked in the morning.

“I’m so proud of my six Premier League titles!”, Pep told Miguel Delaney.

“I didn’t expect Anfield to say I will be sacked in the morning… but it’s fine, it is what it is. When you win, you laugh”.

Pep Guardiola: “From here, we will start building our confidence and winning games”.

“I want the team back, I want my players back… we will make a reset from here. I can feel that”.

In anither interview with Sky, Pep also addressed the incident saying:

“Maybe they are right! I didn’t expect that at Anfield. Maybe they should’ve sung it in the past…”.

“I didn’t expect it from the people from Liverpool, but it’s fine!”, told Sky Sports.

“All the stadiums want to sack me, it started at Brighton!” Guardiola told Sky Sports. “Maybe they are right with the results we’ve been having.

“I didn’t expect that at Anfield. They didn’t do it at 1-0, but at 2-0. Maybe they should have sung it in the past.

“I didn’t expect it from the people from Liverpool but it’s fine, it’s part of the game, and I understand completely. We’ve had incredible battles together. I have a respect for them.”

The results put Liverpool 9 points off second and third place Chelsea and Arsenal who both have same points and goal difference, and 11 points ahead of defending champs, Man City.
