Sinner smashes Djokovic’s earnings, reigns supreme in 2024
Jannik Sinner wasn’t just the best tennis player in the world this year, he also banked more than anyone else. The Italian superstar, who captured the Australian and US Opens en route to eight titles and the year-end No. 1 ranking, amassed a staggering £15.8 million in prize money alone.
That’s more than four times the earnings of Novak Djokovic, who despite reaching Wimbledon’s final, saw his Grand Slam drought continue. The 24-time Major champion collected a respectable £3.53 million, but it was a distant second to Sinner’s haul.
Alexander Zverev (£9.2 million) and Carlos Alcaraz (£8.3 million) rounded out the top three earners. Alcaraz, the reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion, showcased his immense talent but couldn’t quite match Sinner’s financial windfall.
Sinner’s dominance extended beyond the court. He led Italy to Davis Cup glory, solidifying his place as the sport’s most complete player. At 23, he’s already a legend in the making, and with this kind of success, his future looks incredibly bright.
