Bronny James gets MVP chants in Lakers’ Big Win Against Wizards

Bronny James was a fan favourite in Washington as the crowd chanted his name throughout the game, and with the Los Angeles Lakers comfortably ahead of the Washington Wizards, the young guard played the entire fourth quarter in their 134-96 victory on Thursday night.

Bronny scored a career-high five points, making one of his six shots from the field. His highlight moment came when he drove to the basket, scored while being fouled, and converted the free throw for a three-point play.

Lakers coach JJ Redick praised Bronny’s performance.

“He did a lot of good things tonight. He made some nice passes and was great defensively,” Redick said. “Every young player needs building blocks, and tonight was a positive step for him.”

Bronny’s night also included an air ball from three-point range, two rebounds, two assists, and two fouls. He stole the ball once and set up Dalton Knecht for a dunk with a long pass. Later, he assisted Christian Koloko with a perfect alley-oop.

As the game neared its end, Bronny sealed the victory with two free throws. The crowd responded with loud “MVP! MVP!” chants.

“He’s had attention on him all his life. He’s used to it,” Redick added. “He handles it with dignity and class. He will keep improving.”
