Rashford Aims for Champions League Glory with Aston Villa

Marcus Rashford says he is “excited” to join Aston Villa and hopes to help the club achieve Champions League success.

The England forward joined Villa on loan from Manchester United and spoke about his ambitions in his first interview with VillaTV.

“It’s an ambitious time for this club and a great opportunity for me to join and help them push forward,” Rashford said. “I’m excited and can’t wait for my first training session and first game.”

He praised Villa manager Unai Emery, calling him a “top manager” who has done “unbelievable” work since arriving at the club.

Rashford believes Villa’s style of play suits him and hopes to rediscover his best form. “I needed to choose a club where my football fits, and where I can help the team while improving myself as a player,” he explained.

Villa have the option to sign Rashford permanently for £40 million. Speaking about his goals, he made it clear that winning the Champions League is his top priority.

“We’re still in the Champions League, and we want to go as far as possible. If you don’t aim to win it, you’ll never win it,” Rashford said. “That’s my main objective, along with helping the team push as high as possible in the league.

“I know I can hurt teams. When I’m at my best, I can decide games.”
