Toulouse and Werder Bremen Lead Race for Emmanuel Dennis
French club Toulouse and German side Werder Bremen are in talks to sign Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis before the transfer window closes.
The 27-year-old Nigerian has not featured for Forest this season and is eager to leave the City Ground. However, his high wages—around €4.8 million per year—have made it difficult for clubs to sign him.
Toulouse have held discussions with Forest, but the financial aspect of the deal remains a challenge. The French side’s wage structure is significantly lower, with top earners like Zakaria Aboukhlal reportedly making just €90,000 per month.
Werder Bremen are also considering a late move for Dennis as they look to strengthen their attack. Meanwhile, Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with the Nigerian forward in recent days.
Dennis, who is under contract at Forest until 2026, has struggled for form in recent seasons. Last term, he had disappointing loan spells at Ä°stanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir and Watford. However, he has top-level experience, having played in the Champions League, Bundesliga, and Premier League, where he contributed 12 goals and eight assists in 52 appearances.
With time running out in the transfer window, Dennis is hoping to secure a move that will revive his career.
