Mirra Andreeva Earns $597,000 for Historic Dubai WTA-1000 Victory

At just 17 years old, Mirra Andreeva made history by becoming the youngest player ever to win a WTA-1000 tournament, claiming the Dubai Open 2025 title. The Russian tennis prodigy defeated Clara Tauson in straight sets to secure the prestigious victory, and along with the title, Andreeva took home a massive prize of $597,000.

Andreeva’s win is even more remarkable considering the players she had to defeat to claim the trophy. Along the way, she triumphed over Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova, five-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek, and Elena Rybakina—highlighting her exceptional talent and mental fortitude.

The final itself was a thrilling contest, with Andreeva claiming the first set in a tight battle before cruising to victory in the second, losing just one game on her way to glory.

In addition to her winnings, Andreeva’s triumph at the Dubai Open earned her 1000 WTA points, propelling her into the top 10 of the world rankings for the first time at No. 9.

Runner-up Clara Tauson earned $351,801 for her impressive performance, while semifinalists Karolina Muchova and Elena Rybakina each took home $181,400. Players who reached the quarterfinals, including Iga Swiatek, Linda Noskova, Sorana Cîrstea, and Sofia Kenin, earned $83,470.

In the round of 16, top players like World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and defending champion Jasmine Paolini each pocketed $41,600, while those eliminated in the second round—including Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu—earned $23,500.
