Olisa Ndah Misses Orlando Pirates Pre-Season Trip Due to Injury Recovery

Olisa Harold Ndah, central defender for Orlando Pirates and Nigeria’s Super Eagles, did not travel with his team to Spain for their pre-season training camp.
The 27-year-old has been out since September 2024 after breaking two bones in his leg – the tibia and fibula. He was expected to return in March 2025, but suffered a setback during his recovery.
The Pirates are now preparing for the new Premier Soccer League (PSL) season under their new coach, Abdelsam Ouaddou, but Ndah stayed behind in South Africa to continue his recovery.
His agent, Mike Makaab, explained why:
“No, he’s not still injured. He’s in the final stages of his rehab and strength training. He’ll join the team once they return from Spain,” Makaab told Goal.
Ndah has already started light training and is expected to return to full action soon.
He joined Orlando Pirates in 2021 from Akwa United, and quickly became a key player in their defence. He even wore the captain’s armband at one point.
After missing nearly a full season, Ndah is now aiming to get back into the starting line-up.
