President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s Super Falcons after their 2-1 win against South Africa in the semi-final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The win was sealed by a last-minute goal from Michelle Alozie, after Rasheedat Ajibade and Linda Motlhalo had scored penalties for both teams earlier in the match.
The Super Falcons are now just one win away from claiming their 10th WAFCON title — a record on the continent.
They will now face the winner of the other semi-final between Morocco and Ghana.
