Venus Williams Gets Engaged After Historic Tennis Win

Tennis legend Venus Williams has confirmed she’s engaged to actor and producer Andrea Preti, shortly after making history at the DC Open on 22 July 2025.
The 45-year-old tennis star beat 23-year-old Peyton Stearns in straight sets, becoming the oldest woman since 2004 to win a singles match on the WTA Tour. This was her first singles win in over 16 months.
After the match, Venus spoke to the press and revealed:
“My fiancé is here. He really encouraged me to keep playing.”
“You don’t know how hard it is to play tennis. It’s like working 9 to 5 but you’re running the whole time. Lifting weights, getting exhausted, and doing it all over again. He supported me through it, and I’m so happy he’s here. He’s never seen me play before.”
