President Tinubu Celebrates Super Falcons After WAFCON Victory Over Morocco
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Super Falcons of Nigeria after they defeated Morocco 3-2 to win the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
The final match, played at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, saw the Nigerian team come from two goals down to secure their 10th WAFCON title — the most by any team on the continent.
Reacting to the victory, President Tinubu praised the Super Falcons for their courage, determination, and team spirit. He took to his official social media page to celebrate the achievement.
“They chose to accept this mission. They understood the assignment,” he wrote.
“Our Superior Super Falcons delivered in true Nigerian fashion — Never say Never.
“They went. They saw. They conquered again. 10-time champions of Africa. #MissionX: COMPLETE!”
The President’s message of praise came shortly after he had earlier urged the team to bring the trophy home — a call they proudly answered.
