Alex Iwobi delivers GOAL and ASSIST as Fulham beat Brentford

Alex Iwobi played a key role in Fulham’s 3-1 win over Brentford, helping his team get back-to-back Premier League victories and move up to 7th place on the table.
Fulham came into the match with confidence after winning their first league game of the season last weekend. Manager Marco Silva named the same starting line-up, including Iwobi, who had been a slight injury concern during the week.
Despite those concerns, the Super Eagles star started in midfield and made a big impact.
Brentford took the lead early after a mistake from Fulham, but Iwobi quickly brought Fulham back into the game. He reacted fast to a loose ball in the box and scored with a strong finish to make it 1-1.
Later in the first half, Iwobi set up the second goal with a clever pass to Harry Wilson, who scored with a first-time shot. It was a moment of real quality from the Nigerian international.
In the second half, Fulham continued to dominate. An own goal from Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock gave Fulham a two-goal cushion, and they controlled the rest of the game until the final whistle.
Iwobi celebrated with his teammates and showed once again why he’s such an important player for Fulham.
After the game, manager Marco Silva praised Iwobi’s performance and confirmed that the midfielder had pushed himself to play, despite not being 100% fit.
“Let’s see how he reacts,” Silva said, when asked for an update on Iwobi’s condition.
