Marco Silva Hails Chukwueze’s Impact as Fulham Edge Sunderland 1-0

Fulham head coach Marco Silva has praised Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze for his strong performance in their 1–0 victory over Sunderland at Craven Cottage.
Chukwueze, who recently had a quiet international break with Nigeria, responded in style on his return to club football. The winger provided the assist for the only goal of the match, delivering a precise cross that found Raul Jimenez in the box. The Mexican striker finished calmly in the 84th minute to give Fulham their fourth league win of the season.
Speaking after the match, Silva was full of praise for Chukwueze’s contribution.
“Massive impact from ESR and Chukwueze,” the Fulham manager said. “We are going to need Samuel from the start, but we will lose him to AFCON soon.”
Silva added that Chukwueze helped Fulham maintain control throughout the match and played a key role in their attacking play.
Earlier, Jimenez also acknowledged the assist, saying he was “ready to score” the moment Chukwueze’s cross arrived.
The victory lifts Fulham to 14th place with 14 points from 12 games, and Silva believes performances like this show the team is “back on track” as they look to climb further up the table.
