D’Tigers Begin Journey to 2027 FIBA World Cup

Nigeria’s men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, have arrived in Tunisia for the 2027 FIBA World Cup African Qualifiers. Their campaign for a place at the tournament, which will be held in Qatar, has now officially begun.

The players and coaching staff landed on Wednesday and immediately settled into camp as they step up preparations for their first qualifying match, which takes place tomorrow.

Team officials said, “The road to Qatar begins tomorrow,” adding that they are confident the team is ready and focused on getting early wins.

D’Tigers will face some of Africa’s strongest teams as they try to return to the World Cup after missing the last edition.
