Chelsea and Arsenal share points 1–1 in London

Chelsea and Arsenal settled for a 1–1 draw today at Stamford Bridge. Both sides had periods of control, but neither managed to find a decisive breakthrough as the game stretched into its final minutes.

Chelsea opened the scoring through Trevoh Chalobah, who reacted well inside the box and guided his header past the goalkeeper. The goal came at an important moment for the home side, who were still adjusting after losing Moisés Caicedo to a red card earlier in the match.

Arsenal eventually found their response. Mikel Merino rose highest to meet a cross and directed his header into the bottom corner, bringing the visitors level and shifting momentum in their favour. From there, Arsenal pushed for a winner while Chelsea focused on staying compact and managing the game with ten men.

Both teams created half-chances, but neither found a second goal. In the end, a draw felt fair for a match that balanced Chelsea’s resilience with Arsenal’s pressure. Chelsea will take confidence from the effort shown despite being a man down, while Arsenal leave Stamford Bridge with an unbeaten run still intact.
