Victor Osimhen Eyes New Champions League Record Tonight

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to make history as Galatasaray face AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League tonight.

The 26-year-old has been in outstanding form, scoring six goals in only three Champions League matches this season. Galatasaray have won every game he has played in, and lost both matches he missed due to injury, showing just how important he is to the team.

Osimhen recently broke Galatasaray’s European goalscoring record after finding the net in seven straight matches. He had previously been tied with Burak Yilmaz, who scored in six consecutive European games in 2012.

The former Napoli striker has also become the highest-scoring Nigerian in Champions League history, overtaking Obafemi Martins earlier this season.

If Osimhen scores tonight at the Stade Louis II, he could extend his remarkable form and move closer to more major records. He currently has 12 goals in his last eight European matches for Galatasaray. Another goal would push him past Shabani Nonda and Milan Baros, who both scored 12 European goals for the club.

Osimhen is also closing in on Galatasaray legend Hakan Sukur, who has 13 Champions League goals.

All eyes will be on him tonight as he looks to continue his record-breaking journey.
