Victor Osimhen FINALLY Reports to Super Eagles Camp for 2025 AFCON

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has finally joined Nigeria’s training camp in Cairo, meaning the full squad is now together as preparations continue for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Osimhen arrived on Wednesday at the Renaissance Hotel, where the team have been based since Sunday. The Super Eagles are using the camp to prepare for the tournament and recently played a friendly match against Egypt.
Nigeria lost 2–1 to Egypt on Tuesday at the Cairo International Stadium. Osimhen did not play in the match, and his absence was felt as Nigeria found it hard to break down Egypt’s defence.
Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Stanley Nwabali were among the first players to arrive in camp, along with members of the coaching staff. More players joined in the days before the friendly, and Osimhen’s arrival has now completed the squad.
Head coach Éric Chelle now has all his players available as he continues his preparations for AFCON 2025.
The friendly against Egypt is part of Nigeria’s build-up to the tournament. The Super Eagles are in Group C with Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda.
Nigeria will begin their group matches against Tanzania on 23 December, play Tunisia on 27 December and finish the group stage against Uganda on 30 December.
Chelle will be aiming to lead Nigeria to a fourth AFCON title in Morocco as the team look to rebuild confidence after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
