Wolfsberger AC Eye Enyimba Forward Edidiong Ezekiel
Austria Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC are reportedly eyeing Nigerian forward Edidiong Ezekiel in the January transfer window.
Edidiong Ezekiel, who has been in fine form for Enyimba FC in the 2025/2026 NPFL season, has already scored four goals and provided several assists this campaign. The former Nigeria U-17, U-23, and Super Eagles B player, SportsRation reports, is expected to attract a significant transfer fee, with Wolfsberger willing to meet both his salary and transfer demands in view of his huge potential.
The forward, meanwhile, remains focused on his duties with Enyimba FC, who are currently in the second stanza of the NPFL season.
Wolfsberger AC have a strong record of signing Nigerian players, including defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, who moved to Trabzonspor for €5.5 million after impressing at the Austrian club. This history of successful Nigerian signings appears to give the Austrian side an advantage in the race to secure Edidiong Ezekiel’s signature.
Other top clubs are also reportedly interested in Edidiong Ezekiel, but Wolfsberger are said to be leading the chase, hoping the forward can follow in the footsteps of previous Nigerians who have thrived in Europe.
