Super Falcons Begin Preparations for 2026 WAFCON

Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, have opened camp ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Eleven players have already reported for duty as preparations begin for a double-header friendly against Cameroon’s women’s team. The matches will serve as part of the Falcons’ build-up to the continental tournament.
The coaching staff plan to use the friendly games to check the players’ fitness, try different tactical ideas, and blend new players into the squad. More players are expected to arrive in camp in the coming days as preparations gather momentum.
Nigeria, the most successful team in the history of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, will be looking to strengthen the squad and build confidence ahead of the competition. The Falcons are expected to challenge strongly for the title in Morocco.
