Nigerian teenager Imran Musa joins Swedish club Hammarby

Nigerian youngster Imran Musa has completed a move to Hammarby IF, marking an important step in his early career.

The 18-year-old winger joined the Stockholm-based club after impressing at Beyond Limits FA, one of Nigeria’s fast-growing academies. The transfer was confirmed on Wednesday after both clubs agreed on all details.

In a short statement, Beyond Limits said all arrangements had been finalised and wished Musa success in Europe.

Born in Kano State in 2008, Musa is seen as one of Nigeria’s brightest young talents. He mainly plays as a left winger despite being right-footed and is known for his pace, quick decisions, and good understanding of the game.

He started his football journey at Shield City FA before moving to Beyond Limits in Ogun State, where he became an important player. He helped the team win the 2025 TCC Cup and the 2025 Gothia Cup, performances that attracted interest from European scouts.

The move was handled by Fella Sports Management in partnership with Global Soccer Management, showing the growing support system for young Nigerian players moving abroad.

Musa will begin his time in Sweden with Hammarby Talang FF, the club’s development side, which plays in the third division. The team helps young players adjust to European football.

He is expected to spend his first few weeks training and settling into his new environment. Musa will aim to impress and earn promotion to the senior team soon.

Hammarby have made a steady start to the season, and Musa could feature in upcoming matches against Piteå IF, Vasalund IF, and IF Karlstad in the coming weeks.
