Daniil Medvedev Disqualified as Novak Djokovic Reaches China Open Final

Novak Djokovic has reached the China Open final after Daniil Medvedev was disqualified during their semifinal in Beijing.

Djokovic was leading 7-5, 5-3 and serving for the match when Medvedev hit a ball into the stands, striking a spectator. The incident led to Medvedev being defaulted from the match.

Medvedev accepted the decision and shook hands with Djokovic before leaving the court, bringing a dramatic end to the semifinal.

Djokovic will now face Alex de Minaur in the final as he looks to win his first title of 2026.
