Zinedine Zidane confirms Cristiano Ronaldo is fit for Manchester City clash
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit to face Manchester City on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo missed his team’s 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday afternoon with a thigh problem and it has been reported that the Portuguese would struggle to make the Champions League semi-final this week.
Zidane, however, has confirmed that his leading scorer will be fit to take to the field in the first leg of their last-four clash at the Etihad.
“[Cristiano Ronaldo] is fit and will travel to Manchester,” Zidane told reporters when questioned on the 31-year-old.
Ronaldo has scored 47 times in 44 appearances for Real Madrid this season, including 16 in the Champions League.
