RIO 2016

Triple-triple for Bolt as Jamaica claim relay gold

Jamaica claimed a third successive Olympic gold in the men’s 4×100 metre relay to ensure Usain Bolt achieved his goal of completing a sensational ‘triple-triple’.

Firmly established as the greatest sprinter of all time, Bolt will leave Rio 2016 – which he insists is his final Olympics – having once again pulled off a clean sweep in the sprint events.

After winning 100m and 200m gold earlier in the Games, Bolt anchored Jamaica’s relay team to glory on Friday, a time of 37.27 seconds enough to beat surprise package Japan and the United States into silver and bronze respectively.
