Paul George fined for kicking ball into stands

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George may have made up with the woman he hit when he kicked a basketball into the stands, but it was still an expensive incident.

The NBA fined three-time All-Star George $15,000 after he kicked a ball into the stands during Saturday’s clash against the Chicago Bulls.

The ball hit the face of Lindsey Yeager, a Fox Sports Indiana television crew member.

Paul apologized to Yeager after the game and sent her flowers.

“I meant to kick the ball against the mat, the stanchion, I guess,” George said, via ESPN.com.

“And my soccer skill isn’t as good as I thought. I apologized to the people who I hit, and I’m glad my team was able to pick up this win and me not be at fault for the loss.”

George is averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the Pacers this season.
