NBA Sunday Round Up: Curry leads Warriors, Suns top Raptors
The Golden State Warriors stayed hot against the Orlando Magic, while the Toronto Raptors lost to the Phoenix Suns.
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson starred as the Warriors saw off the Magic 118-98 for a seventh successive win in NBA action on Sunday.
It was not so good for the Raptors, who went down 115-103 to the Suns in Toronto.
The Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves also won.
SPLASH BROTHERS STAY FROM BEYOND THE ARC
Curry and Thompson each hit seven three-pointers against the Magic.
Tied at the half, the Warriors pulled away in the third quarter, dropping 42 points and holding the Magic to 24.
The lead was safe as Curry sat out the entire fourth quarter. He went seven-for-13 on three-pointers and scored 27 points, while Thompson was seven-for-nine from beyond the arc and had 21 points.
NIGHT TO FORGET IN TORONTO
All-Stars DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry did not finish the game and several fans were ejected for throwing objects at the Suns’ bench late in the fourth quarter.
DeRozan exited with a right ankle injury after stepping on Jonas Valanciunas’ foot half-way through the fourth quarter.
Lowry’s night ended early after he was assessed a flagrant two foul for hitting Suns guard Brandon Knight across the head.
The third consecutive loss for the Raptors aggravated fans in Toronto to the point that several were ejected from Air Canada Centre for throwing objects.

LAKERS SUFFER EMBARRASSING LOSSÂ
The Los Angeles Lakers fell 122-73 to the Mavericks without a starter scoring in double digits.
The 49-point loss was the largest margin of defeat in Lakers history.
Los Angeles shot 38.4 percent from the floor and made just three of 21 three-point attempts.
To make matters worse, the Lakers committed 17 turnovers as they lost for the 13th consecutive time to the Mavericks.
TOWNS CARRIES TIMBERWOLVES
The Timberwolves were down 100-91 to the Denver Nuggets midway through the fourth quarter when Karl-Anthony Towns sparked a key 12-2 run.
The two teams traded baskets until Towns hit a go-ahead shot with 42.5 seconds to play. Minnesota held on for a 111-108 victory.
Towns had 32 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists to lead the Wolves and Andrew Wiggins added 24 points in Minnesota’s fourth straight home win.
IS BLAKE BACK?
Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin (knee) has been upgraded and could return on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks. He has missed 17 games since having arthroscopic surgery to remove debris from his right knee and the Clippers need him back after losing Chris Paul for up to eight weeks to a thumb injury. The Warriors are at the Miami Heat, while the Cleveland Cavaliers face the New Orleans Pelicans.
