NBA Round Up: Curry off day no problem as Durant leads Warriors past 76ers, Cavs win on LeBron´s return
The streaking Golden State Warriors topped the Philadelphia 76ers, while it was business as usual for the Cleveland Cavaliers with LeBron James back in the side.
Kevin Durant led the way as the Warriors made it four consecutive NBA wins with a 119-109 victory against the 76ers on Monday.
Reigning champions the Cavaliers bounced back from Saturday’s loss in the absence of James thanks to a 102-95 win at home to the Milwaukee Bucks.
DeMar DeRozan had 37 points as the Toronto Raptors edged the New York Knicks 92-91.
DURANT STARS AS CURRY STRUGGLES
Based on Curry’s standards, it was a night to forget for the two-time reigning MVP.
Curry – who finished with 19 points – was 0-for-11 from three-point range – his worst shooting performance from beyond the arc.
But All-Star team-mate Durant stepped up with 27 points in his return from a hand injury.
LEBRON INSPIRES CAVS
James sat out the defeat to the Chicago Bulls over the weekend due to illness, but the four-time MVP was back leading the way on Monday.
While not fully recovered from a throat issue, James had 24 points after the Cavs fell 0-4 this season without their star man.
Kyrie Irving posted 25 points as the Cavs announced the arrival of veteran point guard Deron Williams.
DEROZAN SINKS JUMPER
The All-Star made a turnaround jumper with 1.9 seconds remaining to lift the Raptors past the Knicks in New York.
It was the perfect result for the Raptors, who extended their winning streak to four games, after news that Kyle Lowry will require surgery on his right wrist.

HAWKS TRUMP CELTICS, ROCKETS FALL
The Atlanta Hawks upstaged the Boston Celtics 114-98 to snap a three-game losing streak and the Houston Rockets went down 117-108 to the Indiana Pacers.
Seth Curry’s 29 points saw the Dallas Mavericks to a 96-89 win over the Miami Heat, while the Minnesota Timberwolves were too good for the Sacramento Kings 102-88.
WARRIORS GO AGAIN
The in-form Warriors can make it five wins in a row when they travel to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. The Oklahoma City Thunder are at home to the Utah Jazz.
