NBA Round Up: Warriors power past Spurs, Westbrook shines & Antetokounmpo’s Bucks stop Celtic
The Golden State Warriors continued to showcase their title credentials in the NBA, while Russell Westbrook was in stunning form again.
The Warriors made it nine straight wins and beat fellow contenders in the San Antonio Spurs 110-98 on Wednesday.
Westbrook had yet another triple-double, guiding the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Orlando Magic 114-106 after overtime.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics suffered a surprise loss.
RED-HOT WARRIORS
The Warriors continued their unstoppable run.
Stephen Curry posted a double-double of 29 points and 11 assists, while Klay Thompson had 23 points as the Warriors rallied from an early 22-point deficit.
It made it back-to-back wins against genuine contenders for the Warriors, having beaten the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, and pulled them three and a half games clear atop the Western Conference.
WESTBROOK HITS NEW HEIGHTS
Westbrook posted his 38th triple-double of the season, closing to within three of the record for most in a campaign.
He had 57 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for the Thunder, who came from 21 points down in Orlando.
His 57 points set a new NBA record for most in a triple-double, beating the 53-point mark set by Wilt Chamberlain and James Harden.
COSTLY CELTICS
The Celtics were edged 103-100 by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Isaiah Thomas had a game-high 32 points for Boston, who fell from top spot in the Eastern Conference.

HAWKS, HEAT CRUISE
The Atlanta Hawks were too good for the Philadelphia 76ers 99-92 and the Miami Heat cruised to a 105-88 win over the New York Knicks.
The Charlotte Hornets rallied past the Toronto Raptors 110-106, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Indiana Pacers 110-97 and the New Orleans Pelicans edged the Dallas Mavericks 121-118.
The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Washington Wizards 133-124 and the Utah Jazz thrashed the Sacramento Kings 112-82.
CHANCE FOR CAVS
In inconsistent form, the Cleveland Cavaliers (47-26) look to end a two-game skid when they visit the Chicago Bulls (35-39) at the United Center on Thursday.
