Paul George rules out linking up with Lebron James at Cavs
Indiana Pacers star Paul George insisted he was going nowhere despite speculation over his future.
When George was asked if he was going to remain with the team, his answer was simple.
“I’m under contract as a Pacer,” George said, via the IndyStar. “That’s all that needs to really be known. I’m here. I’m a Pacer.”
George, who is set to make $19.5million next season before a player option in 2018, also denied the rampant rumours he is being courted by other teams, especially the Los Angeles Lakers.
“They’re all crazy, but they’re all expected,” George said.
Naturally, George said his goal is to win a championship with the Pacers, and another goal will be to make next year’s All-Star team, which will give him a nice payday.
